COMPASSIONATE • PERSONAL • AFFORDABLE
Thank you for visiting the office of Dr. Keith M. Burau located in Mooresville, North Carolina.
In building this website, we have tried to be informative, yet concise, so that you can
get the information you need without too many unnecessary extras. Please call
our office to ask any questions or address any concerns you may have.
We are committed to providing the highest quality endodontic work in a caring and
relaxing atmosphere. Your comfort is our primary concern. My staff and I have all had
root canals performed on us, so we know and remember what it is like. We understand
that most patients are not thrilled to have to pay and sit in the dental chair to be
worked on. We get it. Root canals are an everyday routine here for us, but not for you.
We compassionately take all this into consideration, and really try to be as gentle as
possible making it as easy of a visit as possible. Thank you for choosing our practice.

his team do a phenomenal job. No pain at all. No discomfort. They were all very considerate of
me as their patient. I would highly recommend him and his office."

What is the cost or finance options available?REGARDING INSURANCE AND FINANCES: Our knowledgable staff will go over all financial options with you in advance. If you have insurance, we will file your insurance claim for you, and we will follow up on your claim if need be. Our root canal fees are more than $300 less than any other root canal office. This is good for you in that you pay less at our office, and since we use less of your yearly insurance benefit, there is more remaining to be used for other dental needed procedures at your dentist's office. We are also pleased to accept CareCredit healthcare. CareCredit lets you say "Yes" to recommended surgical and non-surgical dental procedures like root canals performed at our office and pay for them in convenient monthly payments that fit your financial situation.
-
Can I drive or go to work after root canal treatment?Yes. Root canal treatment is usually performed under local anesthesia, just as any other dental treatment. It normally does not have any effects on your capability to drive or do work. Even though you may feel that your face is larger than normal due to the anesthetic, it is not.
-
Where are you located? We are located at: 862 Brawley School Road, Suite # 103, Mooresville, NC 28117
-
Will the treatment be painful? Many endodontic procedures are performed to relieve the pain of toothaches caused by the pulp inflammation or infection. With modern techniques and anesthetics, most patients report that they are comfortable during the procedure. For the first few days after treatment, your tooth may feel sensitive, especially if there was a pain or infection before the procedure. This discomfort can be relieved with over-the-counter or prescription medications.
-
Do you offer high-tech 3D Imaging and why?At Dr. Burau DDS we use a high-tech scanner to generate images of the jawbone, teeth, and surrounding structures. These images create a three-dimensional model of your mouth, which is then used to plan the endodontic treatment. These scans let us view your bone and the soft tissues in the same image and let us see your teeth, bone, and gums at every angle, something that isn’t possible with x-rays.
-
How does endodontic treatment save a tooth? The endodontist removes the inflamed or infected pulp, carefully cleans and shapes the inside of the canal, a channel inside the the root, then fills and seals the space. Afterwards, you will return to your dentist, who will place a crown or other restoration on the tooth to protect and restore it to full function. After restoration, the tooth continues to function like any other tooth.
